Glenrowan Vignerons Association president Paul Dahlenburg cited uncertainty over statewide lockdowns, border closures and ongoing restrictions for the decision to abandon the event.
"Even if case numbers were coming down by October, it still wasn't considered safe to host a festival," he said.
