The Group one winning trainer was issued the ban on Friday after an incident with trainer Norm Loy in July.

An inquiry heard that the Loy-trained Funky Bella sustained a number of injuries as a result of a confrontation between Yorke and Loy.

Stewards deemed Yorke to have aggressively confronted Loy after the pair became involved in a verbal stoush.

Loy was in a horse walker at the time with Funky Bella alongside other gallopers.

Funky Bella became fractious during the confrontation at which stage Yorke 'did forcibly hold shut the gate in a deliberate act to prevent Mr Loy from exiting the horse walker'.

Stewards deemed the actions had the potential to cause serious injury to both Loy and Funky Bella.

Funky Bella was injured including a fracture to the lateral splint bone.

Yorke pleaded guilty to the charge and has until Tuesday (today) to lodge an appeal.

"I pleaded guilty but in my opinion I don't think it was any worse than a school yard altercation," Yorke said.

"After the incident I offered to shake hands with Norm and walk away as friends but he told me 'no way in hell.'

"Norm wanted to take it to the nth degree so he could get rid of me which I haven't got an issue with.

"But if two blokes have a fight in a pub, does the loser run to the coppers?

"When two kids have a blue at school, does the loser run to the headmaster?

"If they do, they will soon get a tag for themselves."

Loy was also disqualified for three months last week on a charge of engaging in conduct detrimental to the interests of racing.

The Albury trainer received the disqualification after he posted on Facebook an expletive-ridden rant aimed at NSW premier Gladys Berejiklian and the lockdown in the state.

Yorke questioned Loy's motives for his post regarding Berejiklian.

"I respect Gladys Berejiklian because she has had the tough job of keeping racing going in the state," he said.

"I commend her and her government.

"Racing is worth 23 million a week to the economy and it's still going, so why bag her?

"Someone needs to grow up."

A third Albury trainer, Garry Worsnop, was fined $400 for improper conduct.

Worsnop pleaded guilty to the charge, where it was heard that when giving evidence at the inquiry, he made an 'inappropriate comment' to Yorke.
