ABC News has reported tonight's NSW crisis cabinet meeting decided areas of the Mid and North Coast of NSW, as well as the Murrumbidgee and Riverina regions, will be released from lockdown.
Full details of the easing will be announced by the Premier tomorrow.
The regional lockdown was due to end at 12.01am September 11.
ABC sources report that travel within NSW will resume once the state hits 70 per cent double dose vaccination.
IN OTHER NEWS:
Member for Albury Justin Clancy was not aware of the change but welcomed the reports.
"It gives us a lot of hope that tomorrow will be a positive announcement," Mr Clancy said.
Upper House MP Wes Fang added: "I advocated strongly for us to exit the stay-at-home orders, given the fact we've had no COVID cases, and I'm hoping that the reporting is accurate."
Earlier today Deputy Premier John Barilaro said he would be advocating for the Murray and Riverina areas to be freed from lockdown in tonight's meeting.
"My intention is that your region should come out, that's what we're putting forward," he told The Border Mail.
Mr Barilaro said restrictions post lockdown would not be the same as previously, but declined to speculate on possible differences.
