Of the new cases, 107 have been linked to known outbreaks while 217 mystery cases remain under investigation.
37,604 vaccines were administered in the 24 hours to midnight and 54,242 tests received.
Yesterday, Victorian Premier Daniel Andrews announced lockdown would end at 11.59pm tonight for regional areas, apart from Greater Shepparton.
Mr Andrews further announced any cases that pop up in regional areas would be treated with a localised, targeted public health response, rather than a lockdown of all of rural Victoria.
However the strict hospitality density limits have called people to question whether it will be viable for businesses to reopen.

While last night, reports indicated the Riverina would be one of a handful of regions released from regional NSW's lockdown.
ABC News has reported the NSW crisis cabinet meeting decided areas of the Mid and North Coast of NSW, as well as the Murrumbidgee and Riverina regions, will be released from lockdown.
Full details of the easing will be announced by the Premier today.
The regional lockdown was due to end at 12.01am September 11.
