The board has just announced that COVID has claimed a second successive season.
The O and M had been striving desperately to complete a four-week finals series, starting on Saturday, but the Victorian Government's decision to not allow community sport to return, as part of its announcement on Thursday about ending regional Victoria's lockdown (except for Shepparton) at 11.59pm tonight proved the knockout blow.
The league won't be awarding premierships.
