Albury Wodonga Health public health chief Lucie Shanahan urged the workers to call the COVID hotline 1800 675 398 to book.
"The state-run hub that we deliver at High Street in Wodonga as well as the network that we support across the (North East) local government areas have priority appointments available for construction workers," she said.
IN OTHER NEWS:
"They can phone the COVID hotline number or get online to the COVID vaccine portal and book.
"If phoning the line we encourage people to advise that they are a construction worker and therefore they will be progressed through into one of the priority appointments that we have available."
The record 951 vaccine shots delivered at the hub on Wednesday was followed by 686 on Thursday.
Ms Shanahan said the top mark was delivered with only "a couple of extra staff" being enlisted.
"The staff have managed that exceptionally well on Wednesday, they've worked with great efficiency and I think they're quite rightly feeling pretty please with themselves they've been able to deliver that work within normal resourcing," she said.
Ms Shanahan said a deadline for aged care workers to be immunised and COVID cases with Border ties had been factors in the figures ballooning.
"I think with the emergence of some COVID positive cases, who had been in and around the region....we also saw a large number of people walk up and try and access a walk-in appointment," she said.
Meanwhile, the Victorian Governor Linda Dessau and her husband Anthony Howard have received an insight into life in Wodonga during the pandemic.
A series of online meetings were held on Friday with those who have a connection to the city.
Mayor Kev Poulton and fellow councillors Olga Quilty, Graeme Simpfendorfer, John Watson and Libby Hall and city chief executive Mark Dixon in a joint call.
Cr Poulton said day-to-day life on the border amid COVID was discussed along with inconsistencies between Victorian and NSW governments and the impact of restrictions on local sport.
La Maison restaurant owners Wassim and Marcia Saliba told of the impact of having border permit checkpoints outside their Lincoln Causeway diner.
Albury Wodonga Health chief executive Michael Kalimnios and chairman Matt Burke also spoke, as did Woolworths distribution centre general managers Justin Dowling and Alison O'Neill.
