A man has been taken to hospital and a semi-trailer has been completely destroyed by fire following a collision between two trucks on the Hume Highway overnight.

Crews from the Rural Fire Service and Fire and Rescue NSW were called to the scene about 1:50am this morning following reports of a semi-trailer sideswiping a parked truck five kilometres south of Tarcutta.
One of the truck drivers was taken to Wagga Base Hospital with minor injuries while the other escaped unharmed.
IN OTHER NEWS:
A Fire and Rescue NSW spokesperson said crews worked to extinguish the blazing truck until 5am but ultimately it was "completely destroyed by the fire".
HAZMAT crews were also present however fuel leakage was minimal.
The scene was handed over to the salvage team at about 5am who are currently working to clear the area.
The Hume Highway remains closed southbound.
Diversions are in place on the Sturt Highway and Tumbarumba Road for anyone looking to travel southbound on the Hume Highway.
