They involve judging behind closed doors in a pavilion and the public dinner and tasting being axed.
Show president Chris Pfeiffer said it was important to stage, even though income would be hit by not having public activities.
"It builds our profile, particularly within the industry, and this maintains our profile," he said.

Just over 1000 entries have been received, with the figure slightly higher than 2019.
Ten judges from regional Victoria will be in Rutherglen to assess the wines from next Monday to Thursday.
Winners are expected to be announced towards the end of the following week.
The Western Victorian Wine Challenge, which has involved Mr Pfeiffer's daughter Jen judging entries, has been held at Ararat this week.
