Tap 'N' Run is entered for the $100,00 TAB Highway Class Two Handicap, (1500m).
The four-year-old gelding notched the second win of his career two starts back on his home track.
He then finished third, beaten just over a length at his most recent start at Goulburn.
Stubbs thought the geldings form warranted a throw at the stumps and a start in the TAB Highway which are notoriously competitive events.
"I think with the Highways, you get one shot. It's a Class Two, so if he wins another one he's ineligible," Stubbs told The Daily Advertiser.
"I'd probably be happier if it was 1400, but like I said, you get one opportunity so we're going to take it."

Jason Collett takes the ride on Tap 'N' Run who is third favourite at $8.50 in pre-post markets.
Stubbs believes the the Goulburn race will prove a strong form pointer for future winners.
"Kurt Goldman had the Ian Reid Sprint winner (Ruthless Agent) in the race. There was seven last-start winners in the race," he said.
"I think he stepped up there and I'd rate that every bit the class of a Highway.
"He's going to need to be able to run the distance and you need a lot of luck but we're going there with an open mind.
"We hold him in high regard but he's still got to keep stepping up."
Tap 'N' Run will jump from barrier 13 in the big field of 17 runners.
