Police have commenced an investigation into a single-vehicle fatal crash at King Valley on Saturday night.

The male driver, who is yet to be formally identified, died at the scene in the crash which occurred on Wangaratta-Whitfield Road just before 10.30pm.
It's believed the vehicle crossed the north traffic lane and left the carriageway onto the grass verge before hitting a tree.
No passengers were in the vehicle and the exact cause of the crash is under investigation.
