A driver has had a lucky escape at Kiewa after a truck pulled in front of her car.

The woman, 61, took evasive action in her Toyota Corolla at the intersection of the Kiewa Valley Highway and Connors Lane about 8.15am on Monday.
She tried to swerve to the left of the truck, near an embankment, but her car struck the Isuzu and crashed onto the wrong side of the road.
Sergeant Tim Mooney said the woman suffered head injuries and was taken to Wodonga hospital.

"It was lucky she only suffered minor injuries," he said.
"The incident could have been a lot worse for all parties concerned.
"They were all very lucky."
The truck driver will receive an infringement notice for failing to give way.
Both drivers live at Kiewa.
