Emergency services were called to the intersection of Smollett and Olive streets about 5pm on Monday.
Two vehicles collided, leaving a red Lexus on its side and a grey vehicle crumpled against a pole.
A teenager in the Lexus was able to free herself from the car but an adult remained stuck inside until being freed.
Paramedics assessed the pair at the scene but neither required hospitalisation.
The side of the Lexus was extensively damaged.

Various items in the car were strewn on the road after the collision.
The second vehicle had major damage to its front end, but it is believed the driver was not hurt by the impact.
The car had to be towed from the scene.
Police, paramedics and firefighters attended the incident, which caused minor traffic delays while the area was being cleared.
The cause is being investigated.
