Four new cases were reported in the Murrumbidgee Local Health District.
NSW Health is reporting the deaths of eight people who had COVID-19 - five men and three women.
One person was in their 20s, one person in their 50s, two people were in their 60s, two people were in their 70s, and two people were in their 80s.
NSW Health Minister Brad Hazzard said 112,186 tests were received in the 24 hours to 8pm yesterday.
He said from next week the NSW numbers would be released at 9am, not 11am.
IN OTHER NEWS:
"The numbers are continuing to go down, but we mustn't take this for granted," he said.
"If you haven't been vaccinated now, you're in the minority, but you do need to go and get vaccinated because that is what will keep our state safe."
In the 24 hours to midnight 36,672 vaccines were administered and 77,238 tests received.
