At your leisure
Not far from Beechworth you can find Woolshed Falls, 'the perfect place to get in touch with nature and meditate on the rocks', according to one Tripadvisor review. The falls are located in the Chiltern-Mount Pilot National Park, an area that was once the centre of the richest goldfields in Australia. It might still be too cold for a proper swim, but the walk itself takes you through beautiful scenery and those brave enough to do so could dangle their toes in the water. Make a trip of it and stop by historic Beechworth on your way back. Accessed via McFeeters Road.
