Investigations were on Tuesday continuing after the case was announced.
A MLHD spokeswoman confirmed the information, and provided an update on the status of Albury's cases.
"The Murrumbidgee Local Health District has recorded nine cases in the Albury LGA since July 1, with four of those cases currently active," she said.
"One case of COVID-19 was confirmed in the Albury LGA.
"The person was a household contact of a known case and has been in isolation at home. There are no new venues of concern."

The Albury case was one of four in MLHD; a member of staff within the Deniliquin Health Service tested positive after contact with COVID patients in care.
