Kristy Hogan has returned to coach the women's side after leading them to a premiership last season, while Andrew Gott has stepped up to take on the role for the men's team.
Gott has previously been involved with Sharks, Wodonga and Northside before arriving at the Pirates.
Growing up in Melbourne, he represented Victoria in the national league and was part of the Australian squad for four years, playing three games.
While he has spent the last few seasons as the Pirates' coaching director, he's looking forward to the opportunity to help guide some of the club's up-and-coming youngsters.
"It will be a challenging year I think because we've had a number of players retire," Gott said.

"We're bringing a few new players through.
"They're good kids so it should be a really good season, but it might be challenging too because a lot of them will be stepping up for the first time."
Gott has spent the last few seasons playing B-grade but plans to join the A-grade side in the pool.
New club president Mick Murphy is excited to have the two experienced coaches onboard.
He said junior development will be a focus for both sides this season.
"Hopefully those kids will end up being long-term senior players for us," Murphy said.
