
Border and North East actors received 57 nominations across 20 senior and junior categories in the 48th annual Georgy Awards.
The judges assessed 17 productions, including Monty Python's Spamalot (Livid Productions), Songs for Nobodies (Wangaratta Players) and Singin' in the Rain Jr (BYTESized Productions),
Albury Wodonga Theatre Company (The Phantom of the Opera and Thumbelina) and The Other Theatre Company (Othello and The Merchant of Venice) each submitted two shows.
Puffs, by Wodonga Senior Secondary College, and Trinity Anglican College's Mary Poppins are also listed.
IN OTHER NEWS:
Some categories will not be awarded this year while overall creative honours such as Best Play and Best Musical will be named at the presentation.
The nomination list indicated Judges Awards For Excellence would be presented to recipients from BYTESized Productions and Kyabram P-12 College.
