The gardening themed market will be held under the Kiewa Street carpark on Sunday from 8.30am to noon.

Albury North Rotary's Cheryl Howell said the market provided a venue and purpose for the community to come together.

"it is about community supporting community," she said.

"You have our general community who come to the market, you have our stall holders who are part of our community as well and obviously you support them by buying product.

"You support the market with your donation to our two Rotary clubs and the money that comes out of that goes back into community projects."

Ms Howell said the stall holders were also looking forward to the market restarting.

"For a lot of them it's their livelihood, they actually make money out of doing markets," she said.

"So it's important to them to have an outlet like that and they are pretty loyal, so they're pretty excited"

Coordinator Geoff Slocomb said it was the first Kiewa Street Market for six weeks.

"Over the last two years we've had three months off because of COVID," he said.

"We're happy to let the community know we're back open again."

Mr Slocomb said the Rotarians had some other themed markets planned for the future, including a halloween market, a second hand car boot sale, a Christmas market, a vintage market and Easter market.
