Her heavy addiction to methamphetamine has been cited as a major cause of Jaide Clancy's ongoing offending.
Clancy fronted Albury Local Court on Monday afternoon via a video link to the Dillwynia Women's Correctional Centre for sentencing on four charge sequences.
IN OTHER NEWS:
The most serious related to a police pursuit in which she reached speeds of up to 150km/h on the Hume Freeway through Albury on August 25.
Just a couple of weeks later she was arrested again and was placed in the back of a police van to be transferred to Albury police station.
But en route, the officers noticed Clancy, who had suicidal inclinations, had tightened a drawstring around her neck.
They pulled over and immediately attended to Clancy, who escaped and ran off though fell over just metres away after tripping on the footpath.
Magistrate Miranda Moody jailed Clancy for 18 months, but allowed her to serve the sentence by way of an intensive corrections order.
She will live with family in Corowa on her release.
Referring to a sentence assessment report, Ms Moody said Clancy had showed some insight into her offending.
Ms Moody said if Clancy breached this latest order "she will find herself serving out her sentence in full-time custody".
Clancy previously pleaded guilty to all charges.
These included police pursuit, possess ammunition without a permit, possess or attempt to possess a prescribed restricted substance and two charges of drive while her licence was suspended.
Defence lawyer Jaimee Simonsen said Clancy was "disgusted with her behaviour, she's disgusted with where she ended up".
On her arrest, police found a .22 calibre live round of ammunition and three alprazolam tablets, a tranquilliser used for treating anxiety, in her handbag.
