There are 786 Victorian in hospital with COVID, 147 in ICU and 97 on ventilators.
Victorian COVID-19 Commander Jeroen Weimar said eight per cent of 842 new cases, or 153 new cases, were in regional Victoria.
"I'm pleased to see a lower number of cases in Wodonga today with only three cases overnight, after a fairly big day yesterday with 13 new cases," he said.
"Obviously we continue to work very closely with our colleagues in New South Wales around the cross border dynamics of this outbreak in Wodonga.
"There is a drive through testing facility set up at Vermont Street, that I would guide people to.
"I know it's been a busy couple of days - there's heavy testing demand and we've not seen this number of cases before.
"I'd urge people who are symptomatic and people who are connected to the outbreak to get tested first
"People who are generally a bit anxious, please wait a day or two and we'll get you tested, further down the road.

Victoria recorded 1841 cases, and twelve deaths in the 24 hours to midnight yesterday.
NSW health recorded 283 new cases of COVID and seven deaths, five women and two men.
One person was in their 40s, one person was in their 50s, two people were in their 70s, and three people were in their 90s.
In a statement to The Border Mail a TAFE NSW spokeswoman said the person who attended the Albury campus on Tuesday October 12 tested positive for COVID-19.
