Only a week after snaring the prized signature of Simon Curtis, the hype-meter at McNamara Reserve rose another notch after Crisp committed to the Saints for next season.
Crisp, 25, joined Benalla two years ago and has since proven himself as one of the premier big men in the Goulburn Valley league.
Saints coach Jake Sharp said the towering ruckmen would prove hard to combat for rival sides.
"It's exciting to welcome Callum back to the club," Sharp said.
"He is proven at this level and is arguably coming off his best season yet with Benalla.
"Prior to that he was with South Bendigo and it's always good news when you get a local back to the club.
"Callum has still got his best footy ahead of him and will work in tandem with big Dawson (Simpson).
"Quality big men are hard to come across and we are fortunate that we now have got two."

Crisp's grandfather, Bob, played in the club's only flag in 1970.
His older brother, Jack, enjoyed an outstanding season for Collingwood this year to win the Copeland trophy.
Crisp is a former Murray Bushranger who also represented Vic Country in the under-19s.
Alongside former GWS Giant Simpson, Crisp is set to provide the Saints with the most dominant big man combination in the competition.
"We probably lacked a suitable replacement in the ruck when Dawson was resting this season," Sharp said.
"Callum has the ability to play forward as well and provide a tall marking target.
"So he will have a bit of a different role compared to the past few seasons where he has been the No. 1 ruckman at Benalla which he is excited about.
"He was ultra consistent for Benalla this year and was named in the best seven times from 10 matches."
The Saints have had a productive off-season with clever small forward Lachie Dale and Luke Quirk the only confirmed departures so far.
Sharp revealed the Saints were confident of announcing further signings before the end of the month.
"Hopefully we can get a couple more of one pointers back to the club," he said.
Sharp is on track to make a return from a knee reconstruction in the opening round next year and recently started running again.
