The liquidation process into Depan Group, which is dependent upon Australian Securities and Investments Commission's ability to obtain information has been stalled by COVID-19 and is highly doubtful to be finalised before the local government elections.
"The matter is still with the liquidator who is seeking assistance from ASIC to progress potentially invalid transactions occurring at the time of the wind up of Depan," council chief financial officer Justin Finlayson said.
"Unfortunately it has been delayed."
Mr Finlayson said the last update council had received was in August.
