He said that "in any event" he did not have instructions to apply for bail for Harniman, who is facing a series of firearms- and drug-related charges.
Two sawn-off firearms - a .22 rifle and a .410 shotgun - were seized during the raid on a house in Southernview Drive, West Albury, on Friday, along with 0.7 grams of cocaine and 9.7 grams of methamphetamine.
Court records list Harniman's address as being a house in the nearby street of Johnston Road, in Pemberton Park.
His home was the scene of an incident in 2020 where nearby houses were rocked by an explosion that followed the setting on fire of an unregistered car in the driveway.
Residents congregated on nature strips to watch flames shoot several metres into the air.
These were quelled only after firefighters rushed to the scene, in the very early hours of the morning.
Harniman, 29, faces two charges of possession of an unauthorised firearm, possess an unregistered firearm, possess ammunition without a permit, two charges of not keep a firearm safely, two of possess a shortened firearm without authority, two charges of possess a prohibited drug and supply an indictable quantity of an indictable drug.
He was refused bail to appear in court on November 9.
