Project managers and architects appointed to come up with final plans for Albury's 32-bed mental health unit to replace Nolan House have experience in health projects in other major regional centres.
Bamford Architects have worked for Ballarat Health Services and Peninsula Health previously and Mace Group will be in charge of overseeing the design and planning for the Albury facility.
Mace Group has delivered more than 100 business cases for Victorian and NSW government clients and also worked on the Wagga hospital redevelopment.
"We all want to see a facility built which will be a real place for healing and health," member for Albury Justin Clancy said.
"The community is putting its faith in the project team and architects to deliver the state-of-the art service that is required here.
,"The NSW government has funded this project which is so important to our community, and people here can't wait to see the preliminary drawings and the building take shape."
