Albury eateries are seeking hospitality staff now so they can hit the ground running within weeks.
Brady's Railway Hotel general manager and licensee Graeme Meredith said they needed to recruit hospitality staff before reopening a renovated bistro and bar later this month.
He said the Albury venue would host a recruitment drive from Wednesday to attract new staff.
"It's an awesome industry to be a part of and we want to encourage people to experience it, or keep going with it, despite the challenges that we've faced over the past few years," he said.
"Brady's is a pub that welcomes locals, travellers, sporting clubs, community groups - anyone and everyone, really - through its doors.
"We're looking for motivated and passionate people to join our team and help us provide the best possible experience for all our patrons."
IN OTHER NEWS:
Albury restaurant Canvas Eatery operator Tim Tehan said his five-year-old business expected very strong summer trading.
Mr Tehan said they had recruited their core summer team mid-year.
"Coming out of lockdowns, business has been really strong," he said.
"It's been quiet the past two weeks but I've still been able to give my staff their hours.
"It's going to turn around.
"I think summer is going to be humongous for us and others the likes of Yardbird, The River Deck and Bistro Selle."
Located in Townsend Street in the premises formerly occupied by Hog's Breath Cafe, Yardbird has also advertised for key hospitality positions since early spring.
It comes from the team behind Melbourne dining icon - Bottega Restaurant, Seddon's modern Asian-fusion hotspot Luxsmith and Rutherglen's award-winning Thousand Pound Wine Bar & Store.
Mr Meredith urged hospitality workers to join his team.
"If you are interested in working in a dynamic and fast-paced industry, are customer-service focused, hardworking and keen to create iconic experiences for people at the pub, register your interest and come along to our staff recruitment drive."
Brady's Railway Hotel's hour-long staff recruitment drive will run on Wednesday from 4.30pm.
People can express their interest on Brady's Railway Hotel Facebook page or by phoning the hotel.
