Virtual Sunshine Walk 2021, Sunday, November 7, from 7am

Albury Wodonga Regional Cancer Centre Trust Fund will host the Virtual Sunshine Walk to raise money and awareness for those impacted by cancer. Watch the opening ceremony online before doing a 5-kilometre, 10-kilometre or 20-kilometre walk anywhere in the community. I'm Wanita screening and Q&A, Regent Cinemas Albury-Wodonga, Sunday, November 7, 4pm

Border cinema-goers can get up close and personal with the talent behind a new release. Regent Cinemas Albury-Wodonga will host a Q&A with the star of I'm Wanita and the director Matthew Walker on Sunday. I'm Wanita is Walker's first feature-documentary as a writer/director. In 2015 he directed a short film about Wanita called Heart of the Queen, which won Best Australian Short at the Antenna Documentary Festival. He followed Wanita's story for the next five years, culminating in the film I'm Wanita.

Henry Hugo and The Kindred Spirits, Tanswell's Beechworth, Saturday, November 6, 8.30pm to 11pm

From his birthplace of Argentina to living and performing in the US and Europe, Henry Hugo is now based in Melbourne. A multi-instrumentalist, composer, sound engineer and producer, Hugo has played and toured with Hugo Race, Spencer P. Jones, Tex Napalm and Steve Lucas (X). He has been described as a cult figure with a unique vocal style. His band The Kindred Souls has a moody alt-rock sound with guitars, drums and bass.

St David's Uniting Church will hold its 27th annual church fair this weekend. Pick up cakes, plants, books, produce, a raffle and craft. Devonshire tea, sandwiches, barbecue with vegetarian options also available. The church fair is a cash-only event.
