The Murrumbidgee Local Health District has reached a new vaccination milestone, but is persisting in it's quest towards a fully vaccinated population with more pop up clinics coming to Albury in the coming week.

Acting director of public health Alison Nikitas said 90.5 per cent of people aged above 16 in the MLHD were fully vaccinated, up 1.7 per cent since Monday.
She said vaccination rates of 12 and 15 years olds were increasing, with 62.9 per cent across the district fully vaccinated, including 52.9 per cent in Albury alone.

"So we're gradually starting to see that cohort be fully vaccinated, which is great," she said.
The statistics means that 88.8 per cent of eligible residents aged 12 and above in MLHD are fully vaccinated.
The MLHD announced pop up Pfizer vaccination clinics were coming to Albury's Entertainment Centre on Tuesday November 16 and the Lauren Jackson Sports Centre on Wednesday November 17 between 10am and 3pm.
Albury Wodonga Health's Lucie Shanahan said AWH and MLHD had approached public and independent schools across the region to offer school vaccination clinics.
"So that might be on site for some schools or it might be encouraging families to come forward to one of the vaccination sites available across town," she said.
