But game day will be different for the former Albury Tiger as she takes on her first A-grade playing coach role with Yackandandah.
Willis became a regular for the Tigers after spending close to 14 years at the Ovens and Murray League club.
She also spent one season in the Ovens and King League and is looking forward to making her Tallangatta and District Netball Association debut when the Roos hit the court next season.
She said her former teammate and friend Jess Garland, as well as her cousins, the Farrugias, played a role in her arrival at the club.
"It's a pretty cool opportunity that's come up and I'm certainly grateful for it," she said.
After taking a step back from the court this season to work and travel, she admitted she's ready to get back into it.

"I enjoy being around clubs and a team environment, so I think that time off has certainly made me appreciate it even more," she said.
Willis will be assisted in the role by TDNA best and fairest winner Beck O'Connell, as she takes the reins from Emma Maslen, who stepped into the job mid-year.
The side had several past Ovens and Murray players in the ranks this season, including O'Connell, Garland and Alana Sutton.
"I got to see a few games this year and they had a cracking season," Willis said.
She said her goal is to place a strong emphasis on club culture on and off the court, teamwork and enjoyment of the game.
