Police are investigating after two rocks were thrown from highway overpasses on Tuesday.
At about 9.15pm a rock was thrown from the Fallon Street overpass of the Hume Highway, which struck the window of a prime mover travelling northbound.
The rock lodged into the windscreen and the driver suffered facial injuries and required hospital treatment.
IN OTHER NEWS:
A few minutes later, a rock was thrown from the western-side of the Hume Highway near the intersection of Racecourse Road.
The rock struck a heavy vehicle and smashed a rear cab window. The driver was not injured.
Police are appealing to members of the public for any information in relation to these two incidents.
