The National Awards are usually announced at the Wangaratta Festival of Jazz and Blues, which was planned for October, but this years awards event will now be streamed online this weekend, for free.
Festival Chair Dave Fuller thanked Wangaratta Council who'd donated a combined $13,000 for prizes.
"Whilst we won't physically be together this year, audiences are in for a treat with three days of stellar musical performances from these pianists," he said.
"These awards provide much needed encouragement, exposure and a financial boost to young musicians."
Across the last Friday and Saturday of November, each state pianist finalist will perform a set, with the 2021 National Jazz Award winner and runners up to be announced on Sunday.
