Racing Wodonga's general manager Steve Wright said it was a huge relief to finally see racing return to normal.
"We are fortunate that restrictions have eased in time for our biggest meeting," Mr Wright said.
"Other than being double vaxxed, pretty much everything else is the same as before COVID.
"We are hoping to attract a crowd somewhere in the vicinity up to 6000 people.
"All of our marquee packages have been sold out and we appreciate the support of local businesses.
"We encourage patrons who are thinking of attending to pre-purchase tickets online to save on waiting times.
"There are free shuttle buses from Albury and Wodonga."
