Krautz has previously played for the Sharks but has found himself in the pool with the Stingrays this season.
He had played nationals as well as NSW and Victorian country before stepping back from the sport, but is now enjoying his return.
"It's like riding a bike, you just fall straight back into it," Krautz said.
"I just enjoy the fitness and camaraderie.

"Northside have some good players coming through and it's good to see that water polo's going strong."
Krautz claimed back-to-back Bill Castle Medals, first with the Steamers in 2019 before reaching the same feat with CSU the following year.
While he's glad to have found his way back to the pool, he admitted there's not too many similarities between water polo and rugby.
"Not really, they're two separate worlds," he said.
