Firefighters have responded to five incidents since October 31, with the most recent fire occurring on Tuesday.
No property has been damaged but several fires have gone unreported.
Detective Senior Constable Tim Doyle said it was concerning behaviour which would have the potential to cause serious issues in drier weather.
"If there are fires happening, we need to know about it," he said.
"Don't just assume it's somebody burning off.
