
A former Australian Army Sergeant has created a series of limited edition wall hangings to raise money for the Albury RSL Sub-Branch and Wodonga RSL's veteran support services.
Albury resident and military historian Jan Townsend displayed her powerful military wall hangings 'World War One', 'Women at War' and 'Vietnam' at Cafe Borellas in East Albury on Friday.
She said she used quilting techniques to create the 100 per cent wall hangings.

"Each one of them features an embossed feature," she said.
"It can't be understated how much our serving members need the support and also our veterans as well.
"And their families; a lot of families out there have lost loved ones...they've all got their stories of grief and loss as does my family."
