Luke Robin, who was born in New Zealand in 1993 and moved to Australia five years later, has been involved in multiple car chases, vehicle thefts, firearms offences, break-ins and more.
In his most serious matters, he rammed a police car in 2016 and in 2018 kicked his pregnant partner before a car chase with his baby.
Authorities cancelled his visa on September 29 last year on character grounds with then immigration minister David Coleman noting his "substantial criminal record".
Robin appealed the decision, which was recently heard before the Administrative Appeals Tribunal.
Robin said while he wasn't biologically Indigenous - which would affect the government's ability to deport him - he was recognised by the Aboriginal community as being a Yorta Yorta man.
The tribunal rejected those claims.
Robin - whose legal name is Ashley Thompson - was convicted in separate cases in Wodonga in 2012 of dangerous driving, unlicensed driving and bringing stolen goods into the state.
The following year he was convicted of two counts of burglary and two counts of car theft, arson, gun possession, aggravated burglary when a person was present, receiving stolen goods and more.
He was jailed for 18 months and faced Albury Local Court in 2014 for negligent driving and car theft, and faced Wodonga court for theft.
Similar offences occurred in Albury in 2015 and 2016, including an incident in which a pregnant woman had to leap out of the way of his vehicle.
IN OTHER NEWS:
He was caught driving at 164km/h in Wodonga in 2015 and made threats to kill police.
"Mr Robin's driving record is nothing short of appalling," tribunal member Donald Morris said.
Robin has been in immigration detention and has abused staff and others at the facility.
Mr Morris affirmed the original decision to deport Robin.
"He has persistently offended, sometimes in a dangerous manner, especially with his driving record," he said.
"He has shown a consistent disregard for the law."
