Five Albury residents tested positive in the reporting period to 8pm on Friday, while another Albury case was revealed in Sunday's figures.
There were four cases recorded to 8pm on Saturday, one a Federation resident and three from Greater Hume Shire.
A statement from the health service said the vast majority of patients were currently receiving care in the home and there are no patients in the intensive care unit.
The Albury Wodonga Health Local Public Health Unit reported three new coronavirus cases in its catchment in the 24 hours to 8pm Sunday.
"All of these are in Wodonga and linked to a case in Albury," the unit said in a statement.
There are 17 active COVID-19 cases across the AWH catchment and the community COVID clinic is caring for 21 COVID-positive people.
Two patients are in hospital, neither in intensive care.
Both the Lakeside clinic at Gateway Island, which had been closed owing to weather conditions, and the Smythe Street clinic are open on Monday until 3pm.
Albury Wodonga Health reported two cases over the weekend, in Indigo on Sunday and Wangaratta the previous day.
Australia's Chief Medical Officer has warned the Omicron variant of COVID-19 could see changes in terms of severity, transmission and vaccine efficacy.
Professor Paul Kelly said Omicron was "a variant of concern" during an interview with Michael Rowland on ABC News Breakfast on Monday.
"There are suggestions from that genetic variation that there could be changes in severity, transmissibility or indeed, interference the efficacy of vaccines and treatments," he said.
