TWO wedge-tailed eagles who have been in care for over 10 months were released at a property in Victoria's Central Highlands recently.
The pair of eagles were rescued by the Wildlife Rescue Emergency Service and have been recovering from their injuries since.

WRES president Neil Morgan said one eagle suffered multiple gunshot wounds while the other survived after being poisoned.
Mr Morgan said the pair were found injured in different parts of central Victoria.
"I am really happy with the outcome and see them flying out in the wild now," he said.
"Being able to do what we did today, was really was awesome to see, it's just an amazing feeling... I have been looking forward to this for 10 months now.
"With what they have been through, getting poisoned and getting shot, for them to get through that pain, isn't a bad effort."

Over his career, Mr Morgan and his team have rehabilitated more than 1000 eagles in central Victoria.
This year, they have rehabilitated eight.
