Wendy Bourke, Claire Davidson, Karen Plested and Denise King played valiantly to overcome Sands.
In section two Trish Scammell and Jenny Clark were undefeated to see Staughton take down Sheil.
Quirk's early start against Semmler set them up for victory, with Lynne Aylmore winning all three sets.
In section three Huckstepp had a convincing win against Jones, while Simpson proved too strong for McHarg.
