Murrumbidgee Local Health District reported two cases in Albury.
Three cases were reported south of the border, with two linked to known cases and the third undergoing investigation.
In total, the Albury Wodonga LPHU is reporting 18 active COVID-19 cases across its catchment.
There were 215 tests done yesterday, compared to 307 tests done on Tuesday and 391 on Monday.
This testing spike is believed to be linked to a known case in a school setting, with people being notified on Sunday afternoon and asked to get tested.
With increased movement across the country, cases and testing numbers may increase over the festive season and residents are urged to check guidance around PCR tests before hosting visitors or returning home.
