With prize money of almost $1500 up for grabs, mixed teams of three men and three women will play four games of 10 ends.
"It looks like the weather's going to be 30 degrees and it should be a great day of bowls," tournament organiser John McDonnell said.
"I run about seven tournaments a year and it's the third time we've held this one.
"We've got another tournament coming up on December 15 and I'm already working towards the Commercial Club Classic for next year.
"It takes about six months to get that organised but at the end of the day, it all falls into place."
Next year's Classic will mark 40 years since the event was first held and it's going to be a major operation.
"Next year I'm looking at about 370 bowlers coming to the area," McDonnell said.
"They come on Friday, they don't go back until Monday and I use North Albury, Lavington, Commercial and Wodonga Bowling Clubs.
"If anybody wants to put a team in now, that would be great because I'm getting all these teams from Melbourne already so I'll fill up pretty quick.

"It's going to be worth over $20,000 in cash and prizes.
"I pay down to 50th position so if you come 50th, you get $207 back.
"The winners get $3000 each and between second and 40th, there's $15,000 to be shared out.
"It's an amazing amount of money and a great incentive for all the players."

Meanwhile, Yarrawonga Mulwala Golf Club Resort ladies have qualified for the state championships after winning the Ovens and Murray triples competition.
The O and M finals were held at Corowa RSL, with Anne Miles, Laureen Smith and Claire Sanders prevailing for YMGCR over the Myrtleford trio of Cheryl Lewis, Pauline Clearson and Maria Duic.
YMGCR faced the composite side of Kerri Leask, Robyn Moore and Sue Middleton in the afternoon.
In a tight final which could have gone either way, the scores were level multiple times and Leask's team was one up with two ends to play.
However, Sanders and Smith rallied to set up the head in the final two ends, picking up two threes to seal the match.
