After three rounds, only half of the 12 matches have produced a result, with the rest washed out.
The grand final re-match between premiers Yackandandah and Kiewa will only add to the expectation.
The home team claimed last season's decider after amassing 7-174 from its 40 overs, with Kiewa skittled for 105.
"All the other times we've played them, they batted really deep and I reckon their bowling is the best in the league," Yackandandah's Jay Hillary offered.
ALSO IN SPORT:
"Everyone raves on about pace, but I think it's all to do with their line and length."
Kiewa's Jacob Barber leads the wicket-takers with seven at seven apiece.
"I reckon he's really stepped up since he became captain," Hillary praised.
Elsewhere, Dederang hosts Barnawartha Chiltern, Baranduda is home to Eskdale, while Bethanga hosts Mount Beauty.
