A $450,000 renovation of an iconic hotel in the heart of Albury will open this week in time for the festive season.
The Albion Hotel will open its revamped Rooftop Bar and function spaces on Friday while its ground floor bistro reopened recently with a new menu.
The works on the historic Albury venue have highlighted the Art Deco bones of the building.
The Australian Venue Company project manager in operations, Ben Anderson, said the Rooftop Bar renovation was the cherry on top of the month-long works at the hotel.
"We've paid homage to the Art Deco design of the building with the interior design, the furniture and the fittings," he said.
Previously only used for functions and events, the 80-seater Rooftop Bar will now open daily for sunset sessions and weekend brunches.
The transformed function spaces feature an upgraded AV setup, new furniture, carpets, wall panelling, painting and bar space.
The Riverina Room (previously the Long Room) will seat 100 people or caters to 200 standing guests while the Tattersall's Room (previously The First Floor) seats 40 people and caters to 100 standing guests.

Mr Anderson said the hotel would launch Albury's first Bottomless Brunch and Bottomless Fried Chicken as part of the menu makeover.
The Bottomless Brunch will be on offer on weekends while the Bottomless Fried Chicken will be available on Thursdays.
"It will be Albury-Wodonga's first Bottomless Brunch," Mr Anderson said.
"We're happy to bring it to Albury because we've had a lot of success with it in our Sydney and Melbourne venues."
The Rooftop Bar menu will comprise grazing dishes such as meat and cheese boards, smoked pumpkin arancini, charred chorizo and fried popcorn chicken.
Mr Anderson said the hotel was now doing a major recruitment drive.
He said they were willing to train bar and floor staff without any industry experience.
"There are a lot of roles for junior staff who don't have to have any experience," he said.
The hotel will offer live music Friday to Sunday.
