The home side, chasing 113, looked to be on course for a seventh successive victory when openers Alex Popko (43) and John Spencer (25) put on 71 for the first wicket.
But the Bushies, for whom Harris Lee had earlier raced to 51 off 45 balls, rallied superbly and reduced Albury to 4/86, with the hosts closing their 20 overs on 5/112.
Shoaib Shaikh bowled in the Super Over for Tallangatta, with Dom Stockdale run out and Spencer caught in the deep as Albury scored just five runs.
Lee must have thought he'd won the game for the Bushies when he heaved Shan Bhaiya high towards the leg-side boundary, only for Corey McCarthy to produce a stunning catch on the rope.

Shaikh needed three off the last ball but the visitors could only manage two, sending the match into an unprecedented second Super Over.
With new batters and bowlers required, Matt Armstrong had Kade Brown caught first ball with Nat Sariman and Daniel Cassidy managing just four singles between them.
But with the game on the line once more, Albury captain Ross Dixon showed his class under pressure by dismissing Corey McIntosh (caught) and then Phillip Neville (bowled), Tallangatta having needed just one from the final ball.
After consultation with CAW chairman Michael Erdeljac, it was agreed to shake hands on a draw with time running out ahead of the day's second matches.
