McDonnell's figures of 6-21 from eight overs are the best in the league so far this season and have elevated him to fifth on the bowling charts.

McDonnell quickly had opening bat Vince Chaffey caught for three and he ripped out Culcairn's middle order, dismissing three of them without scoring as the visitors collapsed.

At one stage, Culcairn were 7/38 but they did salvage some respectability by extending their innings into the 31^st over.
