Albury will host an inaugural tennis event next month, which will send the winners to Wimbledon.
The 14 under Australian Qualifying event will be run from January 7-11, in conjunction with the Border's traditional Margaret Court Cup.
The top 32 boys and top 32 girls entered into the MCC will be accepted into the qualifying event, with the winners contesting the major tournament.
"It's amazing for us in NSW to have a tournament of this level and for two players to qualify for Wimbledon, it's a once in a lifetime opportunity," Tennis NSW head of operations and pathways Jaslyn Hewitt-Shehadie enthused.
"The All-England Tennis Club is looking to promote grasscourt tennis and we have that really strong grasscourt swing in Albury-Wodonga and Shepparton."
Highly respected coach Phil Shanahan is delighted.
