A MAN has been remanded in court charged with the murder of Wangaratta woman Carmen Niklaus earlier this week.
Ricky Williams, 43, faced Wangaratta Court on Wednesday morning and did not apply for bail.
The Everton man was charged by police late on Tuesday after having been arrested on Monday night.

Williams has been charged with the murder of Ms Niklaus, 40, who was known to him.
Police were called to an Everton caravan park about 7.10pm Monday and despite revival efforts by paramedics, Ms Niklaus was pronounced dead at the Great Alpine Road site.
Williams was ordered to reappear in court for a committal mention on April 7 next year.
