The pair came together with Osborne 1/12, replying to Walla's 9/123, and they were still there in the 36^th over when the visitors sealed a nine-wicket win.

Joseph scored 77 not out, with Ed unbeaten on 35 at the other end.

"It's good batting with him because we know each other really well," Ed said.

"We know how to run between wickets, turning the strike over.

"We just knew we had to stick around because as long as we didn't get bowled out, we were going to get 124 in 40 overs."

Osborne were only able to name 10 players but they combined to superb effect with the ball.

There were two wickets each for the Perryman boys and Joshua Conlan, with Joshua McDonnell, Billy Glanvill and Darren Howard also getting in on the act.

"It was a real good effort to keep them to 123," Ed Perryman said.

"We bowled really well, were disciplined, strangled them and kept taking wickets.

"A few of the boys arrived pretty late as well but they all fielded pretty good. It's pretty hard to win at Walla so it was really pleasing.

"We're 4-2 now so this puts us in a pretty strong position at the halfway mark."

Shannon Terlich made a big century as previously winless Henty hammered leaders The Rock-Yerong Creek by 154 runs.

Terlich plundered 142 from just 117 balls, hitting four sixes as Henty compiled 5/234 before dismissing their hosts for just 80.
