The free event, hosted by Wodonga Raiders Football Netball Club, was cancelled due to COVID restrictions in 2020 and was in doubt again until recent weeks.
Raiders president Mark Johnston said there had been a whirlwind of activity to get ready for the occasion.
"We're in full flight organising it at the moment and having everything ready to go," he said.
"There's been a bit of chatter that it's good to see it's finally going ahead."
IN OTHER NEWS:
Wodonga mayor Kevin Poulton congratulated Wodonga Raiders to be in a position to host the event.
"It's a great chance for our community to connect with friends and family again and kick off what will be a safe and happy 2022," he said.
"The council is supporting the club through a funding contribution and event advice to support the club in hosting the event."
The event runs from 6pm to 10pm with live entertainment by Jack Mace and children's amusements. Food and alcohol is available; strictly no BYO.
