The 2AY early morning announcer flagged her intentions on Sunday in a statement which also declared her No.2 candidate on her election ticket, Steve Bowen, would seek to be deputy mayor.

IN OTHER NEWS:
The former Prime News journalist and V8 Supercars reporter will vie for the leadership against car dealer and previous Albury mayor Stuart Baker.
Another former mayor Alice Glachan has previously said she would seek the role and on Sunday she declined to rule out contesting the position.
Coincidentally, Cr Glachan was Albury's last female mayor, having preceded Kevin Mack in his first stint in the position before returning to the job prior to December's election.
Cr King's team was the most popular at last month's poll but Cr Baker secured the highest personal vote.
