Albury Racing Club chief executive Steve Hetherton said the track had received 140mm since Wednesday.
He expected the track to be a soft (6) after some favourable drying conditions since Saturday.
"The weather today (Monday) has really brought the track along and I'm confident it will be somewhere in the soft range for the meeting," Hetherton said.
"There was a fair bit of dew on the track first thing on Monday morning, I got soaked walking the track.
"So I wasn't quite sure where it was at, but by the afternoon it had dried out fairly quickly.
